Congrats!!! I am loving it. It gives me more confidence that Harvoni will work for me.
I hope I can start worrying about if I will outlive my retirement funds!!!

I am new here and I have had hepatitis c for 19 years now. I have held off on treatment because doctors have told me not to take the interferon and ribivarin together unless I really had to take it. It is only by the grace of God that I have not become sick from hepatitis in 19 years. I have started harvoni and I am now on my 6th week of treatment. My 4 week test result came back as undectectable!!! From what I understand you are not considered cured until 6 months after stopping treatment. If at that point your viral
Load shows negative then you are cured.  Is that right?

Hi Deetay
Welcome and Happy New Year! that's great to hear about your undetected status. From what I am observing, your 4 week after treatment and your 12 week after treatment blood tests are most important. Your chances of clearing the virus or higher after the 12 week test. By the 24th month if you are still undetected the medical professionals consider that a cure! I was UD at 4th week into tx. Waiting for end of tx test now. I finished dec. 21st. I was on Sovaldi and Olysio tx. Best wishes... Sunrise
