Week 4 Harvoni Viral Load Blood Test - UNDETECTED!
« on: December 31, 2014, 04:18:27 pm »
I got my 4 week lab's back.  The blood work was perfect in all departments, which is great, but they forgot to run the V.L.

I had the V.L. tested last Friday (5 weeks into Harvoni)...

UNDETECTED!

This is amazing!

Wishing you a Happy New Year as we all get in line to slay this Bast*rd!

A person who works on the Harvoni team at a University Medical School in Seattle told me that those who are UND at 4 weeks with Harvoni are thought to never relapse.  And that anybody who is not UND at 4 weeks should be put on Harvoni for an extra 4 weeks.

Does anybody here know about this?

I haven't heard that one Roger and it's not shown in any of the documentation or reports I have read. If someone could get approval for it then I'd say go for it! I don't think 4 weeks extra would be a bad thing.

Hi Bob,

Welcome and you can post it here, the moderators can/will move it if they want :). Sounds like your body is responding well to the Harvoni if you ASL and AST already dropped to normal at 2 weeks. Let's hope this is your third and final treatment ever!

Mel,
I couldn't find anything either. I meant to say, that she told me 4 weeks extra - over & beyond the Tx guideline... so if one was not 0 at 4 weeks (with a 12 week prescription) they should do 16 weeks.
