First day on Harvoni
« on: January 03, 2015, 12:41:02 pm »
After having been turned down initially and then denied an expedited review on Thursday, I received a call yesterday that I had been Ok'd for Harvoni. Rather than wait for the mail I drove 60 miles and picked it within 2 hours of receiving the call. Took my first pill this morning.
This was through Express Scripts. I was expecting to get the 3D from Abbvie because of the new deal those 2 made. Glad I got the Harvoni. :)

Wow - this is amazing. I too thought Express Scripts wasn't going to offer it. Congratulations!

I too have Express Scripts.  The first month copay was 83 dollaros, but the second time I called they offered me an assistance copay for 5 bucks.  You should ask about the copay assistance, the first guy didn't mention it.

I started ~3 weeks ago, have had many high grade headaches and some anxiety, but nothing really bad.  I am so excited!

The specialty pharmacy where I picked it up organized the $5.00 copay. It was initially a $200 copay.

I am entering my 4th month on Harvoni.  I have been doing great until this last month, some headaches, but mainly stomach pains and what I believe is depression.  I don't want to see anyone and stay home.  I am hopeful for a total cure.  Tried all other Hep C meds.  Post liver transplant 13 years and in remission from Double Hit Lympoma alosmt 2 years.  Any thoughts?

My thought is that you are quite the fighter!  Kicked lymphoma in the butt and doing same to HCV.  Lime green ribbon for you!  http://relay.acsevents.org/site/DocServer/ribbon_color_chart_printable.pdf?docID=208789
