My Doctor just called a half hour ago, My HCV RNA test came back positive, he told me my Viral Load is 260.  He must mean 260,000 or just 260, i didn't think to ask (i didn't think it was possible to be just in the hundreds).

Hi ijustdontknow,

This could mean a few things, as VL are reported several ways. It could in fact be 260. Sometimes it is reported as 2.60 which could mean 2,600,000. It really depends. I would call and ask for the clarification.

Don't freak out, however, if it is 2,600,000 as this is considered low. Mine was 9,700,000 and I cleared the virus in less than 2 weeks with Sovaldi.

The important thing is to get treated and cured.

Best wishes, Mike
