Hep c does not have stages liver fibrosis does have F0, F1, F2, F3, and F4 which is cirrhosis of the liver so I am not real clear what you are asking.

People can have and acute hep c infection with symptoms and beat the virus on their own about 25% do where their Hep c antibodies will always test positive but when tested for the virus the HCV RNA test will test negative.

Did you have a hep C antibody test? Did you have a hep c virus test the HCV RNA by PCR? Did you have a liver biopsy with the result you had F4 fibrosis aka cirrhosis?

Also there is no cure for cirrhosis only stopping the cause of the liver damage like getting rid of hep c or stopping drinking for example will stop the progression of liver disease. That could possibly allow the severely damaged liver to regain some greater degree of function the only other cure for cirrhosis if the damage is too great is a liver transplant.

I do not know what you mean by stage 4 hep c please explain and I can better answer your question.
