Waiting For Approval!!!
« on: February 23, 2015, 10:01:43 am »
:o  Thank You for being here, this is my 3rd tx rodeo!!!  I'm happy about this one because I don't have to take that Shot & Ribo!!!  ;D

I guess I should be use to the waiting game also, but each time it's different because of the politics and cost. So I'm going to ask just to get an idea of how long. I was going to take a part time job, but I don't think that would be a good idea right now. The co-pays would probably take all the pay! I think I'll wait until tx's over and just go back to work full time!!!  That sounds real good!

Again, thank you and good luck all!!!
Ducky

Welcome ducky59 and good luck on receiving your treatment approval.  How long did your doc request? 24 wks, I'm assuming based on your posted history.  Hope you get approval and the meds soon!  Sending you positive healing light and energy  ...Islandgirl

Thanks IslandGirl....Oh Yes, I forgot to add that my doc sent for approval on Feb. 17th for a 24 wk. tx. I'd really like to start by March 1. My 1st grand child will be arriving the first week of July, so that would end my tx the beginning of Aug.

Hi Ducky

Can I ask if you have Express Scripts I have an inside email for them from when I was fighting for approval as they initially denied treatment.

If you do you could try emailing this address

ExpressRxHelp@express-scripts.com

And explain your situation including your member ID and contact information.

I also saw you referenced copay concerns Gilead has a web site My Support Path which will pay all but 5 dollars of copay for those who qualify this is for either Sovaldi or Harvoni

http://www.mysupportpath.com/

Providers and patients can call 1-855-7-MYPATH (1-855-769-7284) for assistance

https://www.harvoni.com/co-pay-coupon-registration?evo_source=MYSUPPORTPATH&_ga=1.145389236.1277595550.1420967389

Pay no more than $5 per co-pay for HARVONI
We believe that cost should not be a barrier to receiving treatment. That’s why the makers of HARVONI offer a co-pay coupon. If you are eligible, you may pay no more than $5 per co-pay. Some restrictions may apply. See Terms and Conditions below.

Good luck

Hello ducky, I waited about 3 weeks and got approved, I'm f4, a3 ,no previous treatment, tested pos in95, probably had the virus since 76, I had one denial until they, got the fibro test last Friday, I have united healthcare and cvs/ Caremark, I waited for the harvoni and I'm hopeful we can clear this thing while I still have some liver.
Hope u get approved soon, God bless.

Hi Bubba T, wow 3 wks, thats not bad at all. I'm with Medicare & Medicaid so hopefully they'll be on board as fast. I'd like to be finished before the heat of August rolls in! I'm reading alot about the meds and still can't believe we won't go through the horrors of the past treatments, but I'll take it! Good Luck and if I can help let me know, this will be my 4th tx. ugh

Without a doubt. Nobody else in the world understands this life except others with the disease. Other people always get the attitude that somehow you caused the problem and so you deserve the effects. Such BS. These websites are a haven for all of us effected by this disease, patients and families alike. Good luck to you in your fight for Harvoni. Anita.

Congrats Ducky. This is indeed a whole new rodeo where the sun is shining and every cowboy wins the giant golden belt buckle.
best wishes for a smooth ride.

Anita13 you are right on with your comments and this forum is truly a haven of caring like minded people. I have not found any other forums to be of this quality. Are there any other websites that you would recommend?
