Worried - hbv tests, timings and results
« on: March 23, 2015, 10:27:07 am »
Hi, Sorry for big message. I did a stupid thing in my life. I had unprotected sex with a woman of unknown status(condom slipped).
Since then I started worrying about hbv and hcv

1) 10 days hcv ab, hbs ag, hbs ab, hb core total Ab - negative

2) 8 weeks hcv ab - negative.

3) 10 weeks rna for hcv, hbs ag, hbs ab, hb core total ab - negative.

4) 8, 10 & 12 weeks lft test (alt (15+) and ast(20+)) was normal.

5) 17 week lft test alt and ast were a little higher (40+) than before but still in normal range.

6) 26 week lft alt=100+ ast=80+, bili total = hi

Right after week 12 I had Fever, rashes, diarrhea, sore throat.

Now I am  really about the new lft results. Can someone be kind enough to answer these questions

1) Can these high alt and ast be related to hbv?

2) How conclusive are my 10 week negative hbsag, hbsab, HBctotalAb, results so far?

3) I want to get more testing done for hbv but I am super scared, what should I do.

4) probability of acquiring hbv from one unprotected vag episode?

I am fairly healthy guy, i dont drink or smoke. It's over 6 months  now and I have body aches and sore throat.

Thanks for any response.
