4 week results
« on: March 27, 2015, 11:19:58 am »
My 4 week blood work results show the Hep C virus to be non detectable.  I am on a 24 week course of therapy with Harvoni (sofosbuvir & ledipasvir).  I am pleased but remain cautiously optimistic.  Last year I went through a 12 week therapy of Solvadi & Olysio (sofosbuvir & simeprevir).  The virus was undetectable at 4 & 12 weeks but two months later I relapsed.

Is there that much of a difference between the efficacy of ledipasvir vs. simeprevir?  I know that simpeprevir is a NS3/4A protease inhibitor while ledispasvir is a NS5A inhibitor.  Any insight or additional knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Ledipasvir appears to be more effective in preventing relapse. Let's hope this time it works.
