EOT date anticipation?
« on: June 20, 2015, 04:13:34 pm »
Hi all. I was a little too excited about my "last day" which was going to be the 4th of July,  whoo hoo!  Even though my v.l. was undetected at 8 weeks, and all the anemia problems, I am going to continue tx for one more month per my doc. Just sayin,  now it's a bit of a letdown but! I'll do as told in hopes of a permanent cure.  On Harvoni and riba, 1000mg day to start, week 3 or 4 reduce to 600, to 0 for one week,  to 800 mg currently. Just had Procrit shot #4, uck.
Don't give up, continue to hope, FOLKS ARE being cured.
Started Harvoni & Ribavirin 4/11/15.
Hep C 70s or 80s,  Diagnosed in about 2005.
Cirrhosis diagnosed 2011. Decompensated as of 5/2015
Gen 1 viral load before starting tx  2,900,000.
4 weeks VL <15 still detected
8 weeks VL <15 UNdetected :)
Hopeful EOT  July 4, 2015!
Added 4 more weeks Harvoni & Riba 800mg, Not.
Insurance declined payment beyond 12 weeks.
Still undetected at 1 week after EOT, yay!

My EOT is coming soon. I'm down to three pills. I have no idea where I am as far as viral load. I'm not going to worry about it until mid September that will be 12 weeks after treatment that to me is the date I need to look forward to. I will be glad to be free of the 10:30 in the morning alarm on my phone to remind me it's pill time. I'm hoping I start having more energy too. We shall see. Three days and I'll be Harvoni free. Step one out of the way. :) Deb

wow, deb, that's awesome!  And I agree that the 12 week after marker is more important.  I thought i was so cool to be free on the 4th, stupid ego gets me again :)  So, congratulations on your accomplishment and I wish you all positive vibes in the time to come.

Sally, Good luck to you too. I am counting down the days for the end of being tied to 10:30. I've put a few pounds on during treatment not a ton but more than I wanted. I'm hoping I can do two classes at the YMCA twice a week along with what I do the other days. I can't do it now I don't have the energy, and the extra classes I want to take are during the 10:30 hour. So if all pans out I'll be able to do this and take these few pounds off. Something to look forward to. Keep us posted on your end results.
