Hi Culotta and welcome,
I am so so sorry to hear this. I am in the waiting game for my 12 week svr from vpak and riba. I can't answer your question, but wanted to reply to tell you that there is alot of support here.
Maybe you can check the forums on new treatments coming down the line.
I hope someone else can help you with this question.
How long was your treatment and did you take ribavirin with the vpak?

Don't give up!!!
All the best to you, Prudence

To Culotta,
Are you Genotype 1b ?   I did 24 months Riba/Sovaldi and my Gen 1B is undetected after over 6 months after treatment. If you are 1a without cirrhosis, Harvoni is the ticket, even if you are 1B Harvoni is the way to go. Sovaldi is the main killer. I know insurance is not cooperative but don't stop pursuing.

The post treatment results for geno 1 appear to be fairly similar for the two treatments currently available, with success rates ranging from 90 to pretty close to 100%. Each treatment has people for whom it has not worked, the reasons could be many, including RAVs.

It's useful to know what genotype you are, whether or not you had cirrhosis, length of treatment etc. With that sort of information people here with significant knowledge of treatments will be able to suggest something. Of course your first contact should be with your specialist/doctor.

Sorry to hear your news.
