When and what personal items should be ditched during tx?...
« on: September 19, 2015, 07:17:34 pm »
I'm ordering my replacement personal items; toothbrushes, nail clippers, tweezers and razors. Now I'm wondering, is that enough? Just the obvious? Should I also be getting rid of makeup, brushes, applicators? And when should I do this? Does it need to be done multiple times throughout the process?

Those who've gone before me, tell me what you've done please?!

Thank you in advance :),
bye

Hi, byebyeC. On May 8, someone started a thread on this subject, and it received a lot of thoughtful replies: http://forums.hepmag.com/index.php?topic=2725.0

Thanks Gnatty :)

I tried looking with my Macs search tool and I must've not used the right words...  Checking it out!

Found this as one of the links in that thread expired:

byebyeC, kudos to you for "paying it forward" by tracking down and posting on both threads the replacement link for the expired one.

Hi byebyeC

I changed out my personal care items myself. I went to the Dollar General and bought Reach toothbrushs in packs of 3 for $2.75 a pack. I also bought disposable razors that I changed out after every other shave. As for nail clippers, combs and even my back scratcher, I boiled. Probably over kill on my part but it brought peace of mind. It's like the old saying "if it feels good, do it". After failing three previous times and not doing these things, I thought I would change up this time.

If it's going to make you feel better by changing out all those personal care items, go for it.

Hey Gnatty,

Yes, the avatar is me, wearing my 50th birthday crown :) Took me awhile to figure out how to do it or I would've from the get-go :)

GLCll,

Thanks, I'm gonna go middle of the road, but mostly just to make myself feel better, after reading the nice rational thoughts on the other thread :) Replace razors and toothbrush (which I have to do anyway regularly) Then boil in 1:10 bleach the rest...

Wow, 2 prior shots at this, you know what they say about 3rd time!!!

Charm to you!
bye
