One day to get the specimen into the mail. Two days en route. One day to test. Roughly. 5 business days max. Results come electronically. This has been my experience. Your Doctor and the location that drew the blood will give you copies of the results the minute they come in if you go there and request copies. I suggest you go there and get copies of virtually everything as they come in if you can. Call first though so you don't waste a trip. They generally wont email them to you because you have to present ID. But they will post results in a medical port you have access to if you set one up with them.

My FibroSure blood draw was done at a large hospital's satellite lab at the same time as a bunch of other lab tests. I went in when they opened, and results were ready before the end of the day. Other, smaller labs might send specialty tests to a place like Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp, so those results might take 3 business days or a week or so. When I use my PCP's smaller lab, I ask the lab what the turnaround time is for any test they send out to Quest, and they look it up and tell me.

Thank y'all for the response.

I had the test drawn at Lab Corp a week ago.  I am signed up with their patient portal and thought I should have results by now.   I had the majority of my labs done at Sonora Quest and they were all posted on my portal the next day.  Sonora Quest doesn't do the FibroSure test so I got stuck 2 times in one day!   The reason I didn't let Lab Corp do all the tests is because I have 100% coverage at Sonora!  I am anxious to get all this lined out because   I may be needing back surgery and I am wanting to get the gastric sleeve surgery done also.   If it's going to take awhile to get on the harvoni I am going to try to get these surgeries done before I start treatment... If not I am hoping the doc will ok to get it done after my viral load is down to 0.    Awww wth... I am just impatient...lol.

They were always slow updating my portal. I most always had the paperwork in my hand first. You can call Lab Corp and ask them to update your portal or you can email through the portal and ask the same. But rest assured your results have been in for days.
