Harvoni + Diarrhea
« on: November 22, 2015, 09:23:42 pm »
A cautionary tale. I had severe GI problems startingWeek 2 of Harvoni, cramps and watery diarrhea in the mornings, almost like having irritable bowel syndrome. That persisted through to 24 weeks post-treatment. Fortunately, my gastro-enterologist acknowledged that Harvoni can play havoc with your intestinal flora, in similar fashion to antibiotics. At his recommendation, I started eating daily fiber bars and probiotics and the improvement is considerable.
