6 Month EOT result
« on: November 24, 2015, 01:46:08 pm »
Hi Everyone

Had my 6 month followup and results "Not Detected"

HCV RNA,            <15 NOT DETECTED         Range <15 = Normal
QUANTITATIVE       IU/ml
REAL TIME PCR

HCV RNA,            <1.18 NOT DETECTED         Range <1.18 =  Normal
QUANTITATIVE       Log IU/mll
REAL TIME PCR

All other labs within normal ranges.

The post tx side effects I was having, GI ,nausea, weakness and fever/chills are at least 90% gone.

Im grateful to have waited for tx and not jumped in on the early interferon etc tx that i had been approved for 4-5 years ago. Harvoni was a breeze and So far so good.

My doc will be following up every 6 months for another 2 yr with labs  and  fibroscan or FibroSure (depending on insurance approval at the time) in about a year to see if my fibrosis is improving.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for the great info and support during my tx.

Best of luck to all still on tx and I wish the best for you.

Happy Holidays

Congratulations.  I too, thought Harvoni was a piece of cake.  I did the Interferon/Riba combo. in 2002 and it was horrible.  It also did not work and made me anemic.
