My 4 week on tx lab came in. I don't see the Dr until next week.
I am undetected for HCV thank god.

But my lymphs are high at a 5.1

Glucose Serum High at 122
Bun is Low at 7 or BUN/Creatinine at 10 Low
Does anyone know what any of this means?

  • Get tested, get treated, get cured, fight Hep c!
Glucose is not accurate if you are not fasting. High glucose if fasting could be an issue but even so yours is not very high if it was a fasting test.

I don't get BUN testing what is your creatinine? My labs range is 0.57 to 1.00 and mine is 0.96

My lab has .7 to 3.1 as normal for lymphocytes my was 1.4

Found this in high lymphocytes from the Mayo clinic

Lymphocytosis (lim-foe-sie-TOE-sis), or a high lymphocyte count, is an increase in white blood cells called lymphocytes (LIM-foe-sites). Lymphocytes are an important part of the immune system. They help fight off diseases, so it's normal to see a temporary rise in the number of lymphocytes after an infection.

Have you had a cold recently?

Found this about BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen)

Low BUN levels are not common and are not usually a cause for concern. They may be seen in severe liver disease, malnutrition, and sometimes when a person is overhydrated (too much fluid volume), but the BUN test is not usually  to diagnose or monitor these conditions.

Could be you are drinking too much water?

Having a low BUN would directly affect your BUN Creatinine ratio as BUN being the numerator in the equation if BUN is low the ratio would also be low

Thanks Lynn
It was not a fasting blood draw so I won't worry.
My results on the BUN/Creatinine Ratio was a 10 ref level says it should be 11-26 so I am not that off. Maybe it is being on Harvoni!
Also, I am drinking so much water to lessen the indigestion.
Hoping that being on medication is making a few things off.
The lymphs reading? Not sure about that one being high, I have not been sick other than the side effects of Harvoni.
But all other labs were totally normal
And I am undetected at 4 weeks tx.
So I am elated with that news.
You have eased my mind and I thank you for the response!
I will try not to stress as I do seem to feel better on tx if I stay away from getting stressed out.
Although my husband had open heart surgery 1 1/2 years ago and has an artificial mitral valve now, he is on warfarin and now is having what I think are side effects of that, so this is a stress factor. Last weekend he passed out and busted his head open hence a trip to the ER for a CT scan and a 30 hour stay in the hospital for monitoring. Kind of hard not to worry about that going on.
When it rains it pours!
