Hi all you lovely people,

I have to share my exciting news from today!
Although not given the full "all clear" I have just been for my latest check up today and after seeing previous results I have to say that they are looking very, very good. I now have 2 weeks to wait for the final results.

Note: I have been on here for 2 years and you have all been a wonderful pool of knowledge and support so thank you to you all with special note to Lucinda Porter.

HIV/HCV G3 Coinfection diagnosed March 2014
Treatment commenced Thursday 24 March 2016

Recent basic results are as follows;
                                       17/11/15     09/03/16      03/05/16

Bilirubin                            11              17               8          <25
GGT                                  127            122             33         <51
AST                                  54              147             21         <41
ALT                                   137            261             24         <51

Although I have no VL yet these to me and my doctor are looking like tremendous results and they are from 2 MONTHS AGO!

Needless to say I am beside myself.

Side effects for the two drugs for someone with reflux disease and insomnia were challenging and information relating to this can be seen in other posts.

Thank you x

Congrats Tomcat! Those results look very promising. It is such a joy and miracle to see those liver enzymes drop down to normal, isn't it? Mine had been elevated 2-3x normal levels for the 20 years I had been monitoring them.

Good luck on your final results! :)

Thanks Philadelphia,
Amazing and praying (as much as an atheist does) that all results come back clear.
Doctor is 100% sure that that they will be.
To quote him "no matter who the person,  what their lifestyle has been or what their genotype I have not seen one negative result come back over the last few months "
This is tremendous stuff for all of us.
