Storage Temperature Question
« on: November 22, 2016, 10:40:01 am »
Epclusa states "Store room temperature below 86 degrees" does this mean the drug is stable at any cold temperature?

or is "Room Temperature" referring to a comfortable range of around 60-75?

Hi Andrew,

Anywhere between 32-86° (0-30°C). That will be the range that they have trialled long term storage without any effect on the quality. They could probably be stored at human comfortable temps outside of that range too but haven't been tested for shelflife at those levels. So try and keep somewhere in that range and try to avoid extremes but they are designed to be quite stable so don't sweat it too much if your meds reach say 95° (35°C) on a hot day as you won't be storing them long term (2+ years) anyway. OTOH sitting them in the sun on the dash of your car probably isn't a good idea.

I have read do not store in the refrigerator and avoid damp environments like bathrooms and kitchens.

But yeah the meds are really stable for storage especially for the month you have the meds in your home.
