Please help shed some light! Hepatitis B through french kissing?
« on: December 01, 2016, 06:38:47 am »
Hi any insight and help will be greatly appreciated! (I've been panicking for the past two weeks, hope this poll can put an end to it...)

It all started with the worst decision i've ever made... It was a Friday night and i was in a really bad mood since I broke up with my boyfriend a month prior to that. After a few drinks I met this guy and he invited me to his place, I agreed and told him we'll see how things will go from there...

When we got to his place I was too tired so we just cuddled and french kissed, there was no sexual intercourse involved but those french kisses we had were pretty long and deep... The next day I told my best friend, she's a nurse, about this event, and she told i might get hepatitis B from him. And from that moment I've been freaking out....

So, i would like to know is there any chance that i might get hep B from this guy(If he had it)?  I read from the internet that "kissing" does not consider as a way of transmitting hepatitis B however french kissing will pose a risk to it since there's exchanges of saliva.. and even more possible when there's blood present (I think there was no blood but maybe there's cuts that i didn't notice?)

Lastly, thanks again for your time and attention.... :'( :'( :'( :'(
