Harvoni Post Treatment – Possible Relapse
« on: April 07, 2017, 08:12:15 pm »
Hello —

New to the forum.

HCV G1 — no cirrhosis

I just got done 8 weeks of treatment on Harvoni. Started with VL of 600,000 and tested at week 4 with 0. Then at week 8 (treatment end) I tested with 90.

Dr. says that I need to test again in 4 weeks because I may actually be at 0, but the drug is still doing it's thing.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

We had at least one person here who was weakly detected at EOT and even 4 weeks post EOT but at 12 weeks post to not detected and remains so probably now about 2 years. Hopefully dragonslayer will see your post and chime in.

Even if you do end up with a relapse there have been several here who retreated with Epclusa and were subsequently cured.

Don't give up.

Hi Lynn — That's incredibly encouraging, thanks for replying. Hopefully dragonslayer will see this and have some insight.

I'll have to look into Epclusa

It's hard going through treatment and then just waiting... and waiting... and waiting... to see if you're cured

You rang?   Yes, as Lynn said, I was not only weakly detected at EOT, but at 8 wks post also.  Not til 12 wks post did I test Undetected and have remained SVR to this day, 2 yrs henceforth.. Cured!  Check my signature for details.  The hardest part is hanging tough til you get to the 12 wks post marker and having faith youll hit SVR12 at that point.    Please keep us up to date so we know whats going on...
