Failed 8 weeks on Harvoni, Now on 12 weeks Vosevi
« on: August 09, 2018, 10:16:09 am »
At my 4 week point on Harvoni LFTs were normal and virus was undetected. At 8 weeks LFTs were still perfect and the virus remained undetected. 12 week bloodwork after showed the virus came back and was a real bummer to find that out.

Harvoni was a breeze, not 1 side effect throughout the entire treatment.

Currently on my 5th day of Vosevi and no side effects with this one thus far. Hopefully this treatment works, seems to be more positive news compared to Harvoni.

I has a similar experience with 12 week treatment taking Sovaldi Olysio. It was the first time including my prior 3 treatments with interferon based meds I saw my viral load decrease. Unfortunately, I was found to have relapsed 12 weeks after finishing that treatment.

I next treated with Harvoni and ribavirin for 24 weeks and have been cured ever since.

I hear great things about retreating with Vosevi

Sending you my best wishes this treatment will be the one that cures your hep c

The same thing happened to me on Harvoni at 4 weeks post.

I'm now on my 5th week of Vosevi and I have normal AST & ALT and a VL <15 with 6.5 weeks to go.
It's unlikely that my HCV will survive 12 wks of Vosevi.

I'm a 1a. Age 67.
Male -  HCV since 1982 - Born 1951 ~ Geno 1a

Did 8 weeks of Harvoni in 2015. Got normal AST & ALT and undetected VL by week 5, then relapsed 4 weeks post.
-----------------------------------------------------------
July 5, 2018 : began 12 weeks of Vosevi with a VL of 540,000 and AST & ALT of 65 and 105.
2 weeks in : AST 19, ALT 20
5 weeks in : AST 18, ALT 12, VL "<15 detected"
10 weeks in : AST 19, ALT 14, VL "<15 not detected"
4 weeks post : "<15 not detected"
