Should I Get Requested PCR?
« on: August 24, 2018, 07:39:06 pm »
I asked my FNP's nurse in their patient portal, if we could do another PCR right now. I'm scheduled to have it Sept 13 -- that's almost 3 weeks away. I was "Detected <15" two weeks ago on 8/8. I just noticed late today that she replied and asked if I could be there on Monday at 2 PM for labs, to look at the viral load again. Should I take this opportunity or just wait until 9/13? I kid of don't think it matters much. I have a feeling I'm going to get SVR anyway, and their clinic is 25 miles away. It was nice of them to offer it to me but it's not going to help me get SVR.

She also said "FNP _____ said you still have a chance in clearing the hep C."

I have almost 5 weeks left on Vosevi.

TIA for your input. - Joe

UPDATE : I'm going to wait until Sept 13th. It's not going to help anything to get more PCRs. I might as well relax until Sept 13.

Just wait- you talking about viral load? It does not matter on treatment.

Yes, I'm going to thank her for the offer and pass on it. I can chill out until Sept 13.
I might as well save some gas and not go up there an extra time. It's not going to affect the outcome of my treatment.
