I was very concerned about Harvoni side effects (see previous posts) I stopped taking Harvoni after 3 1/2 weeks. virus not detected. still not detected 4 months later.

You were very, very lucky congrats.

I took Sovaldi and Olysio for 12 weeks was not detected at 4 weeks on treatment but relapsed at 12 weeks post treatment. I had to treat again with Harvoni and ribavirin for 24 weeks to finally be cured.

I feel l should say something like, "Folks, don't try this on your own." But that said, I am delighted you had that outcome. When I worked at Stanford, I knew a patient who had a durable SVR with just 2 weeks of peginterfron + ribavirin. Good things happen.
