plz some one help me
« on: November 11, 2015, 01:32:26 am »
Dear,

I finished treatment (Sovaldi+Olysio) and now PCR is negative after 6 months so SVR is persistent

I want to know if any one contaminated by my blood which contains only HCV antibodies as my PCR is negative what will happen

* he will break these antibodies and he will still negative to HCV antibodies and PCR stays negative

**or he will become positive to HCV antibodies and PCR stays negative

I know that newborn of mother with HCV can break HCV antibody if it is transferred to him through placenta within few month
it can be the same with adult if they contaminated with HCV antiboies ??

Regards

Hello naser_sallam. And congratulations on being cured of Hepatitis C! :)

As for your question, I don't know the answer for certain. But I believe that if someone is now exposed to your blood, they will NOT develop HCV antibodies, even though your own blood will always have those antibodies. In order for the other person to develop HCV antibodies, they would have to be exposed to the virus itself (which you no longer have in your blood), not just to somebody else's antibodies to the virus.

Maybe others will chime in on this.

All the best in your new life free of HCV! :)

Kim is correct. You cannot catch antibodies.
