12 Week Completed - Partial Blood Work Results
« on: August 14, 2015, 10:04:45 am »
Have completed the 12th and final week on Harvoni. Partial blood test results:

ALT - 16 (prior to start of Harvoni  45)
AST - 22 (prior to start of Harvoni  46)

Still waiting, impatiently, for HCV Quant result. It does appear, though, from ALT/AST, that Harvoni has worked. At 8 weeks, virus was Undetectable. Presume 12th week test will re-confirm (fingers crossed).
It is not enough I should win. Others should lose.

My 12-week Harvoni regime was side-effect free except for minor headache and minor diarrhea for 3-4 days at start of treatment. Then 2-3 days after completing 12th week had minor diarrhea, no doubt caused by my body re-adjusting to no Harvoni. Other than foregoing, no side-effects at all.

Completed 12 Week Treatment - Results
« Reply #6 on: August 24, 2015, 11:45:02 am »
Finally, I have the complete blood work results after 12 weeks. HEPCV undetected; HepC Anti-bodies detected (as expected). I am very pleased. Now, 6 months until we check for SVR. After 30+ years I does appear I am HEPC free. Thank you Gilead Sciences. See you all again in 6 months. ;)
