Almost Midway Thru 12 wks Vosevi, PCR Results
« on: August 09, 2018, 04:47:58 pm »
At week 5 of 12 on Vosevi :

My WBC are now in the normal range at 4 [3.8-10.8]

My AST and ALT are lower at 18 [10-35] & 12 [9-46]
I almost got all As on my "report card".

In a "reportable range" of 15 to 100,000,000, my VL is <15.

I'm not sure, but I think that's what they call "undetected".
I have about 6.5 weeks to go on Vosevi.

Thank you Gilead.
You made my day.

I suppose  different laboratories report in different ways. My lab reports less than 15 not detected. Another possible result is less than 15 virus detected. Your lab may not specify. But anyway less then 15 is a great result good luck with the rest your treatment!

The "reportable range" this lab uses is 15 to 100,000,000. Anything under 15 at this lab is as as good as undetectable, because <15 *IS* undetectable at this lab because they cannot detect below 15.

I'd bet I'm UND.

If it's 5 or 14, I doubt it will survive over 6 weeks more of Vosevi.

Thank you.

I went to Quest Diagnostics website and I actually was detected at <15 but "not quantifiable". That means I still had a small VL. But with about 7 weeks to go from there, it seems unlikely that a VL of <15 can survive much longer. Is that right?

Do some people get undetected at week 5 on Vosevi?

My AST and ALT are perfect.

I'm supposed to do labs again on Sept 13. I asked to get some more labs right now. I don't know if she'll let me do it. I guess the labs aren't going to affect the Tx outcome anyway but they would be peace of mind.

On treatment viral load means little beyond you are compliant with taking your meds.

There have even been a couple of folks here who were weakly detected at EOT and 4 weeks post who went on to achieve SVR at 12 weeks post.

Basically, try not to sweat your viral load test results until 12 weeks post treatment that is the one that counts for all the marbles.

Interesting. So even if I'm <15 detected at EOT, I might still get SVR. That's cool. Definitely not worth getting upset about. I still have an excellent shot at clearing HCV.
