Is Bleach Bad for Your Liver?

Good article from LiverSupport.com site.

Whether it’s in your water, hair dye, laundry detergent or toilet bowl cleaner, learn why bleach is not the most liver-friendly compound.

Containing the chemical sodium hypochlorite, bleach is a staple in many different parts of our lives. Easily purchased at any drug, food or convenience store, bleach purifies water, lightens hair, removes stains and disinfects many surfaces. Sodium hypochlorite’s wide range of applications and incorporation into most American household routines is independent of its high degree of toxicity. Unfortunately, those with liver disease are particularly vulnerable to bleach’s toxic nature....

I have read that bleach, fabric softners, detergents etc are all bad for your liver.  I have tried to go to natural alternatives, the sun is a natural bleach, white vinegar for softner & I try to use the free & clear detergents.  I figure our livers need all the help we can give them.

Well it's true that all bleaching and detergent agents are harmful for your lungs, but we have to deal with it unless there is an alternative for it

I had Hep C for years before I knew that I had it because it went undiagnosed and misdiagnosed. But even in those early years I noticed that anytime I used bleach or even inhaled the fumes of it being used in the house by someone else, I would become more ill feeling than I already was-sometimes sick enough to end up back in bed. That's why back then I decided to stop buying bleach or using anything with bleach products in it.
