The J&J Buyout That Could Lead to a New Fixed-Dose Cure

Johnson & Johnson (J&J… the maker of Olysio) is expanding its share of the hepatitis C drug market with a $1.75 billion buyout of the private firm Alios. The company’s deal specifically eyes two new, early-stage nucleotide analog drugs that could allow J&J to create a new fixed-dose cure that won’t have to include Sovaldi.
