Is it true that interferon and ribivarin are no longer treatments available to patients. If you are not in stage 3 liver damage, you can not get treated for hep c and the old treatment is no longer being used at all, is this true??

lucky-in-lasVegas,
No not completely true. Some doctors are using Harvoni & Ribavirin for some people for 24 weeks with hard to treat / or relapsers with advanced liver disease.  A lot of people with mild damage are indeed being treated without I&R. My IDS is  prescribing Harvoni for 24 weeks for hard to treat / or relapsers with advanced liver disease without Ribavirin.
