no one answering MySupportPath phone?
« on: December 09, 2014, 11:55:13 pm »
Has anyone had success recently in contacting MySupportPath via their 1-855-769-7284 number?

I've been trying for the past two days, at various times throughout the day.  Each time I call, it says "your expected wait time is more than 2 minutes".  This repeats about 15 times (over the next 30 minutes), then a new recording asks you to leave a message.

Have you left a number for a call back?

Yup.  I left a number on Monday.
I also left a number on Tues, and again on Wed.  No call back yet.

Their recording says they will call back within 1 business day.

But I figure they're overwhelmed, and doing triage.  So I am leaving 1 message (with callback number) per day.   That seems to be a reasonable tradeoff between being persistent and being annoying.

Your thoughts?

Yes I am also having a problem with My Support Path. I was on hold for 30 minutes  today and then the recording said to leave a message and then I was disconnected.

Not sure if I'm going to get thru if you're not having any luck three days in a row.

Fortunately for me, my copay is only $125.00. I would be really stressed if I was facing several thousands like some of the folks out there.

I will try again tomorrow....good luck everyone.

Hi Apache,

Yep. I think they're doing triage and trying to absorb/play catch-up with the influx of patienrts the insurers denied.

Sad state.

Best wishes, Mike

Hi Proudgmma,
If you just need the $5 copay coupon, you don't have to speak to MySupportPath on the phone at all.   Just fill out the intake form on their site (direct link is:   http://mysupportpath.com/~/media/Files/mysupportpath_com/Support_Path_Intake_Form.pdf  ), and fax it to MySupportPath at the fax # at the bottom of the form.

I did that a few weeks ago, and received the $5 copay coupon via email a few days later.  Then another copy of it arrived via US mail a few days after that.

You only need to speak to MySupportPath on the phone if your insurance company refuses to approve the Harvoni Rx.    Which is my case:   my primary ins (UHC) and my co-insurance (Premera) both refuse to approve Harvoni for < F3.

Indeed.
Speaking of triage, I was under the impression that for those of us who get medical insurance through our employer, the medications UHC (and other ins companies) cover was something negotiated between UHC and the employer.   Well in my case I get UHC through Hewlett-Packard and I also have Premera as my co-insurance (through my wife's job at Microsoft).  One would have thought that those two companies would have premier health insurance coverage.  But apparently not - as they both refuse to cover Harvoni for < F3.

At the end of the day, it's all about "maximizing shareholder value".  At least, that's the excuse that CEO's typically cite, when their companies do things which are not in the best interest of their employees.

Same issue here...I got through to them on Monday and Tuesday, but have been trying almost non stop every day since then and have not gotten through.  Left messages, and waited on hold (Annoying that after twenty minutes on hold they just kick you to voicemail).  I think I am gonna have nightmares of that hold music for the rest of my life!

I thought that link was for the long intake form which is required if you have no insurance or you have a plan denial and need Gilead to help out with the basic cost.

Here's a shorter path for those in specific need of the copay coupons:
