Antibiotics during treatment
« on: December 16, 2014, 03:17:49 pm »
I'm on my way to the dentist because my face is swollen from a couple of teeth that have lost a lot of gum tissue and I think are infected because of this. I've heard there are some antibiotics we should not take while on Sovaldi and Olysio but forget which ones. I'm allergic to penicillin so that's out.

Also, I'm on my last day of tx so don't know if it really matters but think it is possible the S/O may keep doing it's job for a few days after eot and so don't want to take anything that may mess with this.

Any suggestions?

It doesn't matter at this point - the interactions are if you take the drugs at the same time. For others who many want to check for potential interactions, go to: http://www.hep-druginteractions.org/interactions.aspx

Thanks Lucinda.
I also got a note from my doctor saying not to take Cipro.
--just in case someone in the future has the same question about antibiotics.
