Great News Nicole!!!

You are next Katie!!

For those reading, don't feel bad if you aren't undetected at 4 weeks, no everyone is undetected that quickly but it doesn't mean you won't be! I wasn't undetected until my week 9 blood test.

Happy we are all letting our sick livers get a break!

Not disappointed at all at VL 59 @ 4 weeks, especially since it has fluctuated from ~2 Million to ~16 Million for the past 9 years.  Everyone at the doctor's office was cheering so I figure that's a good sign!  HA!  I am a happy, confident camper!

Mike, Nicole and Mel:

Congratulations to you Nicole!  and thanks for the encouragement from all of you.  That is one reason this forum is so important, for all of us.

I don't get tested again until I complete week 12, and that's fine with me.  I can just tell by my good response that it's going to be fine and work.  This medication has really given me a "what the heck", "Don't worry, be Happy" attitude and no real motivation.  And as far as no motivation, HA!  I don't care!  It is so weird, and not like me so I just laugh about it.  It's a side effect that isn't bad and my doctor said he could use some of that himself. HA!

Hope your weekend has been good and keep posting!  Love you guys!

Good, glad to hear that. I'm on it for 8 weeks, and on day 5 today.
I feel like I have a cold but I'm not fretting about it.
This is the 1st Tx I have ever attempted, and hopefully it will be the only one I'll ever need.

Hi there,

Seems as though most of us will be, and the ones that won't be, will with a 2nd or 3rd Tx.

I never had Cirrhosis that I know of. Had MRI before Tx and they said I "am cleared to begin Harvoni".

That's good news,

I had to have an MRI first as well, they are looking to make sure we don't have any signs of cancer. If we did they would treat that before we could be treated for Hep C.

Did you have a Fibrosure Blood Test or a FibroScan before as well?

Hi,

I had a feeling that's what they were looking for.

I had a biopsy in 1990 that showed little to no damage.

Congrats Nicole! I just got my 4 week undetected this morning! Woo Hoo!!! This stuff is amazing. Now if they can just get the price down so we can eliminate this disease.
Katie, I would have been happy with under 100. Hang in there.
7 1/2 more weeks and counting.

Congratulations Nicole, Dan and Katie!! Welcome Joe!

I got my 4 week VL and I am at 39....wanted undetected of course but so happy my other counts are normal for the first time in 20 +/- years!!!!

I am so appreciative for this forum..it has made such a difference for me..my doctor seems a bit annoyed or rushed when I ask a lot of questions so this forum has filled that void. thanks all!!

Glad to hear it Jayme and thanks for the welcome.

My ALT and AST have been elevated for well over 20 years, at one time over 300 but lately around 120/180. It's time I get those numbers in range before it's too late.

CONGRATULATIONS  Jayme!!!  My 4 week test was 59 and that doesn't bother me at all because if it had been 15 or 20 I would have been undetected, more than likely.  To get rid of close to 3,000,000 in 4 weeks, what's a lousy 59 more in the next 8 weeks.  No worrys!

and like you Jayme, I'm not sure I could have gotten through this treatment so far without this forum, even though I am feeling better than I have in years.  The mental anguish of not having others who understand and are so supportive would be devastating...and especially not knowing what to expect.  I want to thank ALL of you for the information, sharing your private experiences, side effects and test results that have meant so much to me.  I am on my 40th pill today, almost half way there so keep it up.  I need you.
