Only certain insurance companies prescriptions are handled by Express Scripts who handles AbbVie’s new Viekira Pak. What insurance companies use Express Scripts? Are there insurance companies that stand out with their responsiveness to the various treatments available?

Two of the largest insurance companies using Express Scripts as their pharmacy benefits manager that I know of are United HealthCare and Tricare. Since Express Scripts is the country's largest PBM, though, I'm sure there is a very long list of insurance companies with whom they contract to make make money for the insurance companies and themselves by denying patients access to more expensive drugs. But they blame that on Big Pharma. Name of the game.

My understanding is that some of the medicare programs use Express Scripts. BCBS of New Mexico uses Express Scripts but not sure if all BCBS does.
