I am on liver transplant list.
Should have transplant sometime Aug.or later this year.
What is best time to take the Harvoni?  Early AM with Breakfast?
or Late afternoon with dinner?
I'm 62, retired, about 200lbs. (need to loose ~ 40lbs.)
New to forums
Looking for help with dealing with the medications .....dealing with the
liver transplant...kinda scares, frightens, & spooks me.

later,

I take mine in the AM...as soon as I wake up...then I go to the gym and workout, then I eat breakfast.  I didn't plan on taking it in the morning vs night...it just happened that way.  I have been on for 4 weeks now and just got my blood drawn for my Viral Load count.  I should get the results this week.  I don't think there is any difference when you take it, and I don't think there is any difference whether you take it with or without food.

I have had zero side effects.  None of the usual complaints about headaches or tiredness.  It has been a dream drug.  Just make sure you drink a LOT of water throughout the entire treatment.  I find I am thirsty like a beast, and if I don't drink I feel dehydrated.

Hi Saxman!

Welcome and sounds like tomorrow is your day 1 on the way to SVR! I also take my Harvoni in the morning but some prefer at night. It's easy for me to remember to take it in the am so that's why I picked it but it's really up to you and what you think will work best.

Water is key just like NYC said, you really need to make it your new best friend. If I don't drink enough I don't feel great, headache starts and I feel dehydrated.

Hang in there, this is the easy part of what you have going on. Eat right, lots of water, rest as needed, exercise when you are up to it.
