First I'd like to say thank you to everyone who sticks their neck out and posts their feelings here. It's tough to have no one who understands... But you guys do! For the most part I try to stay positive and not preachy...but mostly, you must know, I'm preaching to myself.
Just got my 4 week labs - UNDETECTED!
I'm so happy. 20 more weeks. I'm going to annihilate that pesky virus hiding in every corner of my poor scarred liver and I'm determined to stay grateful, open my heart to more joy. Empathetically I think of Elizabeth Pena, actress, just died from liver disease. No mention of Hep C. I'd bet $100 right now that she had it. The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary show...A perfect place for Gilead to have run the Super Bowl of HCV ad campaign.
Door to my heart, open wide I keep for the(me!) God dwells in me as me.

Tpropane,
First, I want to say I'm so sorry about your brother and how he lived in agony and the long road to his death (your post on another topic/alcohol).  My heart hurts to think of it and I know everything you said in that post came from a caring, heartfelt concern for what he and your family went through - and not wanting anyone else to experience it.  God bless you.

My son died several years ago from liver cancer, and yes, he also had Hep C.  The VA did what they could but he'd waited too long to get help.  Your brother's story was his story too.  He died on my birthday and I still choose to consider that a gift - an end to the suffering that medical assistance couldn't fix.  They are finally free.  If anyone thought you were preaching, maybe the message hit home.

And, a joyful, happy congratulations on your 4 wk lab UNDETECTED!  hugs, ...Islandgirl

just popped the lid on my last bottle of Havoni, on a 12 week trip. may this year rock and next year even be better! till we can rid the world of this passkey disease.. found test results from week 4, they are a little scary at first to you can decipher them: Surgical Pathology (Feb 19, 2015)
The quantitative range of the assay is 15 IU/mL to 100 million IU/mL
using COBAS(R) TaqMan(R) HCV test, v 2.0. The limit of detection (LOD)
and lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) for this assay is 15 IU/mL.
Results less than the quantitative range of the assay will be reported
as "HCV RNA detected, less than 15 IU/mL".
Diagnosed in 08, 1a first TX 08 was Boceprevir, cleared but relapse while still on TX 2nd TX 2010  Telaprevir nonresponder both combination with PEG/riba. 3 TX Harvoni started 1/22/15 doing 12 weeks finished 04/16/15
