Co-pays for harvoni?

Hi everyone, can someone tell me about the co-pays for harvoni, I got the meds today and paid a 35.00 copay, is this the norm?    The pharmacy said they did not take the harvoni coupon for a 10 copay,   
 Anyone have a similar deal?

My normal copay would be $20 ($60 for a 3 month supply)

I pay $5 a bottle using the coupon. Over my 24 week tx that saves me $90

I believe your copay is from your insurance company based on your policy provisions

mine was 36 but i got an email for a coupon so its been 5 for each month

mine would of been 55 bucks a scrip  but i use the coupon too 5 bucks

Thanks, I have Caremark/cvs and my Gi dr went thru a speciality pharmacy that does not accept the Harvoni coupon, have others also not been able to use the coupon because pharmacy does not accept?

@bubba, do you know why they went though a different pharm then carmark? when i was on triple therapy they did that but after two months caremark jumped in a made them change to them. When i was starting this tx i asked them to go though them to start with so i would not have a problem. and PS welcome and good luck

Kate0b1,   I'm not sure why he went thru this particular pharmacy,  the pharmacy guy said he would take a Medicaid #, but not gilead coupon from Harvoni .

I think it's so they can control the meds if you don't follow their protocol.

I'm gonna check into it.

I had an interesting copay experience.  My prescription was filled by my health care provider, Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, via their specialty pharmacy in Minnesota.  When they called to discuss filling my prescription, the lady pointed out that my insurance carried an annual out of pocket maximum of $5000.  Of course I already knew that and was prepared to send them a check or otherwise pay that amount.  So she said "I hope you don't mind but I applied with Gilead for copay assistance for you and they granted you a copay coupon and now you owe $5.  Would you like to send a check, or we bill you, or we take all major credit cards." That nice lady in Minnesota effectively  arranged for me a $4995 copay coupon and her friends in Arizona are very likely  curing me.  Amazing! 

I have pointed out in one or two other threads that we all need a health care provider that advocates for us in all ways.  This is a pretty good example.  It makes me sad to read about medical professionals that don't take the time to do these things.

I would ask Gilead My support Path if they know anything about the pharmacy maybe hopefully there is some misunderstanding on the pharmacys part.

I thought it was strange, but I'm not aware of how the Drugs are dispensed from Gilead, since my insurance is cvs/Caremark why would my Gi dr work thru another pharmacy?

 the pharmacist called me and asked for the Copay and then delivered the pills to my Gi dr office and I picked them up at his office and got the lab draw orders from his nurse.

I guess I must be missing something about why the pharmacy won't accept the Gilead support path copay coupon unless it is the Medicare that is the problem per the support path disclaimer

My copays for Sovaldi have been a confusing mess for me through Accredo.

I was told before my first round shipped that with the copay assist I would owe $15 for the Riba, and $5 for the Sovaldi. 

First bill was $15 for the Riba, $50 for Sovalid.  Called them and they said the copay assist hadn't applied yet, and to pay it and I would receive a credit toward the next bill.

Next bill was $15 for Riba, and $0 for Sovalid.  Ok... seems fine I guess...  Credit probably only applies to the Sovalid, right?

Next one after that is $30 for TWO doses of Riba, dated back to the first round of treatment, and $5 for Sovaldi again.

Every time I call them, they can't explain why I'm even being billed at all to begin with, since my account says I still have a $-45 balance (credit from first payment).  And according to their records, they can't even see this $30 for Riba that they're billing me for right on the invoice I'm holding in my hand.  AND they're telling me that my copays for Sovalid are supposed to be $35, not $5 or $50.   

All so confused by the whole thing, and of course, it just makes me so paranoid they're going to try some shenanigans and wind up withholding my next round of pills for lack of payment.

Hi all, I called the Gilead: my support path)today and spoke with a person and asked about the reason why this pharmacy My dr. Used would not take the coupon, she did not have an answer and basically said I should call the dr. And see if they would use a pharmacy that does accept the coupon.

I'm not convinced they know what's going on!
