It is the only way to know it is what it is

Beats waiting for medicine to treat with never knowing if it will come in time.

You could ask your doctor to be tested at 4 weeks most who relapse will have done so by then

My doc recommended a 6 week test and thinks it is worth the extra two weeks because it is much more consistent with svr12 than 4 weeks.

Thanks you two, I decided on 4.5 weeks on April 22nd to see if I need another 24 weeks rather than the 12 weeks I just finished. My B Day is April 25th -- 55 years old but it takes 14 days for my blood work to return (slow up here in the mountains of Woodland Park, Co) Nice to know I quit drinking and took care of myself majority of the time since 1993 that I always figured/hoped there would eventually be a cure. I just came back from Walmart - needed wiper blades and was having a conversation about HCV with the guy helping me in automotive, He said his wife went through the same thing with interferon etc. and all the mental damage from it. I was explaining the new medicines going on and on as he abruptly stopped me saying she already passed because she never quit drinking. SAD !
