Major Flaws in the CDC's Hepatitis C Reporting Data
« on: July 07, 2015, 10:57:07 am »
A new study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine is estimating that the actual number of people living with hepatitis C in the U.S. could be 14 times higher than the CDC's published numbers.

That's a really big deal, because those numbers inform a lot of the government's response and approach to combating the HCV epidemic.

Whoa... Is this report saying that instead of an est 4mil people with HCV in the United States, there may be as many as 56 mil or almost 20% of all people in America?  I must have misread the statement.
