Hello  fellow soldiers, I have been on Harvoni now for 6 weeks and 2 days I have not missed a day and I am on 12 week treatment. I contracted Hepc in 1980 through blood transfusion. I am treatment naive and and am early cirrhosis, Doc says no cirrhosis according to recent CT amd MRI, but I have heard these cannot detect cirrhosis, recent fibrosure says Cirrhosis. Doctor put me on 12 weeks saying that studys show that 24 weeks make no significant difference in those that have never been treated before cirrhotic or not. VL starting treatment on 05/30/15 was just under 5mil. I am 1b and my concern is that on my 4 week lab I was still detected with a VL of 33. Doctor said I went from 5 mil down to 33 and should be undetected at 8 weeks. Please forgive me but I am so nervous not having cleared at week 4. I ask doc about possible extension and he says it will not make a difference. should I be overly concerned at not clearing at 4 weeks (now 2 days on week 7 week).

PJ... dont worry about being still detected... Many of us have cleared even after being detected not just at EOT but also in the early post EOT....And wind up undetected at the 12 wk svr marker.

Search the forums here for threads describing more detail and study references in support.
