Problems with swallowing en swollen thyroid?

Since start Harvoni I have a metallic taste but that was good to handle.
Since a couple of days problems with swallowing en today I noticed a swollen throat, maybe the thyroid?
Does anyone recognises this?
I am a bit anxious about it....

hey Madelief,

I can speak to the metallic taste because I had that, plus some very strange taste issues.  Sometimes either "sweet" taste or "astringent" tastes would amplify in intensity.  I also got a little of the metallic thing.  Others had the same problem as I recall.  Mine got better after a few weeks on the meds and then went away after.

The throat thing.  I remember a few folks having swollen throats and mouths.  The one I recall had his clear up.  However, please see the doctor because, you must rule out allergic reaction.  Thyroid.  I expect a member will chime in about that because there were a few complaints along those lines.  Just play it safe.

Hi Madalief,
I have goitres and have difficulty swallowing because of the thyroid but it was a gradual thing. I think you should tell your GP. It's probably just a sxs but it's in a dangerous spot. We don't want you choking. Cal :)
