G3 Daklinza Sofosbuvir 12 weeks cured!!
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:30:53 am »
Just got my 12 week post tx results and its undetected so I'm cured!! Had read about 6 weeks post tx that there were more relapses for G3s on 12 weeks Daklinza Sofosbuvir so I spent the next 6 weeks -plus 2 weeks waiting on results - worrying about the virus returning but thankfully it didn't happen.

I hope this gives others some hope and reassurance especially G3s on these meds.

Good luck everyone! Let's hope for more people getting on the new drugs and getting cured.

Hi Helena,

Congrats to you!  Must be such a relief to know you beat it!  I only did 8 weeks of Harvoni and will do my 4 week eot next week.  A bit scared.  Not feeling like myself at all, strange symptoms, but it is out of my hands and hoping for the best.  Enjoy your new well earned status!!!  Brie

Thank you Brie
Yes a huge relief, I didn't realise just how wound tight I was until I got this great news. Still taking it in. If its any consolation I was like that too and tuning in to any strange symptoms -very dry mouth and nostrils-sometimes nose bled when I blew it, pains, aches, skin blotches, dry/itchy scalp, eyes blurry, stomach upset....i could go on and on.
Some of the symptoms, I realise now, were due to anxiety as they've gone away and any others I don't care about now because I know they're not because of HepC- probably just old age.
Its natural to be scared, I started doing a family tree in my last 8 weeks of waiting and it took my mind off it quite a bit. What also kept me going was the stats for the numbers cured using these new drugs-and if I remember right Harvoni had a fantastic cure rate so allow yourself to hope. I really wish you the best and hope to see you posting your own good news soon x
