side effect vs aging(age),stress,
« on: August 16, 2016, 02:47:48 pm »
Hello There I am new to the forum and have been reading a lot of the posts. I was thinking about the side effects we have experienced and wonder if its really not the medicine but just where we are at this point of our life?? If you are older like me, it could be thats why we are gaining weight, have arthritis, body aches. We also could be so stressed not knowing our out come even with the newest medicines. We cannot sleep, feel anxious ,nauseas, this all takes a toll on us. I am not trying to make light of our feelings both physically and mentally I have symptoms /side effects also. Just hoping maybe i could be correct?

Which medicine are you taking?

A lot depends on the condition of our bodies, too.  Some of us have high blood pressure, some have other conditions, some may be overweight, some have more liver involvement, all of this plays into the treatment course.  And, age too! FT

hello again :) I just turned 60 this month. I am pretty healthy I thought, but i have been tricked into that thinking before. 6 yrs ago i had breast cancer, had mastectomy and fought my butt off to become healthy and whole again (i thought) now this fight is ahead of me. I have always been into health and nutrition. I was a Jazzercise instructor for many years before BC had to quit but still actively take class 3-4 times a week, Also love yoga. Not really ever been over weight till the past 6 years about 10 lbs which i contribute to my age. And stress.
i did enjoy my wine but no longer indulge...

I just turned 61 last month, so I hear you re: weight gain!! It is a continual struggle, but I've managed to keep it down, but only thru daily effort w/ diet and exercise. I'd been interested in Jazzercise in the past but never managed to get myself to a class.

Are you having any side effects thus far with the Harvoni?  My course was very uneventful so I hope yours will be, too.  Glad to see you got this site figured out! FT

Hi Karen,

Well there certainly are noticeable sides for some on Harvoni. I'm 57 and did 24 weeks and by the eot I had a symphony of 3 notes ringing in my ear. Almost gone now.
Tinnitus, joint pain and insomnia were my sides but others nothing or mild sides, yet others more severe.

In my case I believe the treatment, even though eliminated the virus, had sides and may have aged me faster..but it was well worth the trade.  Glad your here and best of luck you you!
