Congrats on the SVR12 morab!!! And good luck with post-treatment recovery. My road has been slow too. But I am now really seeing and feeling improvement from my full-time commitment to health restoration, and also by getting something diagnosed so that I know what I'm aiming at. Broken ankle is a set-back for my health regimen. But life hands you what it hands you.

Good luck with continuing improvement! :)

Hi Morab,

I am so happy for you!!  Congrats!  I have just started drinking a tablespoon of Braggs Apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water with lemon everyday.  I usually drink it before dinner.  It is suppose to help with arthritis.  May be a placebo effect but I swear I feel better.  Not sure if it is anything that might help you feel better but thought I would suggest it.  Brie

I find consolation in the adage that the healthiest plants arise from soil that has been enriched with lots of shit and the moisture of a few tears ( pardon the language).

And thanks for all the well wishes , Tommy you have kept me laughing, I really did not think anyone on here would reply to my SVR 12. I seem to have ruffled a few feathers by just being so very ill during and after treatment.
I must say that I am feeling better every day and am back at work making colored porcelain dinnerware and really hope to have a firing b4 Christmas, I have broken all my mugs, my fan base must have ESP because I have more orders than I can fill and did not tell my wholesale galleries I was even back to work!
May we all continue to improve and being hepc free is a fantastic feeling

Undetected is a great feeling.
Now if the other symptoms will eventually go away i will be good to go.
Steroid shot every 3 months helps with all the pain issues. I still have problems with my stomach,,,,digestion so not eating much at a time. and the tinnitus,,rrrgggg.
Loosing 20 pounds has been a plus for me!
Keeping my spirits up by making art in the form of pottery, Unloaded a kiln on Christmas day and that was a real hit! I had shoppers showing up Christmas day to shop! Made for a great Christmas!

A belated congratulations MORAB!!! When it comes to ruffling feathers you have nothing on me! But sometimes it is necessary to ruffle a few feathers especially when trying to get all your ducks in a row. :D I really hope you get over the Harvoni hangover as I am beginning to call it. It took me quite a stretch to see some things improve and yea the tinnitus is a real BI&^% especially when I am trying to play soft passages in Julia Florida or the slow movement of Mauro Giuliani's Opus 15. What I am afraid of is that I will not be able to tune quietly on stage anymore because of the constant ringing in my ears.

Either way WAHOO!! For both you and Rich1957!

Hi there, Rich:

Congratulations!!

Seems you're among the "first wave" to hit SVR12 using Epclusa.

Since its only been out since June 2016, you must've started soon after Epclusa was released "into the wild". We'll soon be getting more such reports. Hopefully, it'll be as good as in those clinical trials. When you get a chance, please post over in that long Epclusa thread in this section, so others on this med can rejoice with you

Thanks, I was beginning to feel like I have more frien-emies on this site than anything else. Burning that bridge of what so many think of as confidence and glory which to me is a mixed bag of BS that goes with a cure. I have always been a feather ruffler...I have been a parent advocate for disability rights for over half my life, that tends to make me what some call the Mother from Hell, while others call me a saint .....to all us graduates a better future!

Well,  things just seem to get better every day. Just got back from my post-treatment Fibroscan. She said my number was 7.8 wich is an F2. Minimal fibrosis. I go to the Dr in March for my 24 wk bloodwork. I am looking forward to making sure this thing is gone for good. Alt 12 / Ast 15. Everything else is right on the money.                                                                                         Wanted to ask if anyone else had any weight gain during treatment with Epclusa / Ribavirin? I kept getting bigger and bigger. Gained at least 25 lbs. Since treatment,  I've lost 20 lbs melting off like butter. That's since Oct 12th. Well,  I hope all is well with everyone .

Hi Fred

Has your platelet count always been normal range? I was dx with cirrhosis with liver biopsy 9 years ago want even sure I would still be around by now.
But anyway my Fibroscan in fall of 2014 was 27 so very much in the cirrhosis range. I had a Fibroscan done at one year post in April 2016 and my Fibroscan was 33 so still very much in the cirrhosis range. My platelet count has risen from my pretreatment levels of around 90 to now about 107 but still well below normal range of 150.

So just curious if your platelet count was ever below normal and now returned to normal. That is the result I most want to see in my tests.

And a big congrats on your fibrosis regression that is huge!

Lynn Just looked it up. My platelet count was running between 250-270 range. The last post tx bloodwork it was 206. Hopefully, it will climb back into my normal range. The last tx really seemed to beat me up. Got fat no matter what I ate.Now I've lost 20 lbs since the end of Dec. Feel so much healthier. One more thing to do, quit smoking. Told my wife after I lost 20 lbs I would quit, guess it's that time. Get as healthy as I can since I've got a second chance.

Hi Fredi believe above 150 is minimum normal so you are in great shape! So even though you were dx with cirrhosis you never had a low platelet count that is usually the first test result to show signs of cirrhosis so you are lucky you must not have been very advanced at all maybe that old test was even a little off and you were just maybe in the edge of developing cirrhosis.

But either way congrats on being cured and you fantastic fibrosis regression!

And good luck quitting smoking you got this :)
