Currently on 12 weeks of zepatier
« on: May 31, 2017, 05:01:51 pm »
I am on my 4th week of treatment on zepatier. I found out today that the virus was already undetected on my 24th day! I am so thankful for getting a 2nd opinion and continuing to fight when other doctors refused to help. This forum has been so amazing ever since I was diagnosed, everyone's informative responses and posts really kept me going. I hope that others affected by hep c will all get the treatment needed and deserved. My mission is to spread awareness to people in my area, to get tested and treated promptly! No one should have to wait until there is significant liver damage to be given treatment!!  My first doctor wouldn't even submit anything to insurance because I am an F0. I wouldn't take no for an answer and thankfully found a doctor at johns Hopkins who took the extra step to get me what I needed!
January 2017 found out I am positive
Feb 15th 2017 genotype 1a VL850000 F0
MARCH 20th entered in a study 50/50 chance of getting  either harvoni or zepatier for treatment
May 1st begin treatment of zepatier VL450000
