Did you ever think that perhaps the cost of v-pak might have been a little cheaper without all the elaborate packaging?

"push to close"... really? with a little sticky button.

It must have cost 1000s just to design the box and then the little boxes.

Unreal.... I will admit though...it is pretty much idiot proof.

Yeah, as compassionate access peeps, we are handed three plain white bottles per month (ribavirin, dasabuvir, and the big pink combo pill) and we have to works it all our ourselves. Hence my reliance on my Little Old Lady (Tm) pill box.

I would rather have the bottles.

Tired of all these stupid boxes everywhere.

Guess I'm just in a botchy mood.

sounds like me.... I save everything..nuts , bolts, containers,...everything..and it frequently pays off...

Now all I have is a bunch of paper boxes...my plan was originally to have a ceremonial box bonfire at eot...but we are under a burn ban and will continue to be if we don't get rain soon.

Hi DM,
I always thought the cardboard packaging would be easier to control. It's completely down to us to work out our does everyday. I was using a dose-it box but I was told the drugs needed to be airtight. So I keep them In the bottles. I think a funeral pyre is a fantastic idea! ;D Cal

Phily,
I don't know how you can look at them. You obviously have a different relationship with them than I do.  :P Cal

I found the extreme packaging comforting....I even liked the colors!

After treatment I stacked them all up along with the giant ribavirin bottles and felt like I had climbed a mountain and had the boxes to prove it.
The funeral/bonfire idea occurred to me too, but ultimately I just removed my identifiers, broke them down and sent them to the garbage.

I'm with you DM!!!

I read Philly's blog for a couple of weeks before starting. I take em out of the crazy packaging and put them in my own awesome "old lady pill box" just like she did. Have the app on my phone that tells the old lady to take her pills too! Love it. And...

I actually have had the ceremonial weekly burn the crazy packaging funeral pyre for the boxes! Woot!  8)

For Sapphire and anyone else who loves it, you're WINNING! ;D

Me thinks Oz won with just a normal pill bottle though. Maybe the trials showed people having trouble figuring out what pills to take?... It is a lot, specially with the ribas!

Thank you to Philly for suggesting taking the ribas on a different schedule from the VP! It has SO helped with sleep!

I don't think I'd mind the other packaging. I think it is more foolproof when working out whether you took a dose or not etc. with the bottles I leave them in there, even though I have a dose it box, because someone told me that it hard to be stored in an airtight container, to do with the viability if the pill? Dunno. Did use dose it box for first week. Cal :)

My clinical nurse consultant (NP) gave me a pill box and said it was useful so I took her at her world. I would NOT have kept track otherwise.
