one year anniversary
« on: February 17, 2016, 11:34:32 pm »
It is very hard to believe, but it has been over one year since I took my first pill and started my journey back to health.

A whole year ago and I still remember the overwhelming joy of getting the Rx approved and receiving my first shipment and the anxiety of the unknown as I took those medications. Would it work for me? Would I have side effects? Could I continue to work through out treatment? My mind was going a mile a minute for the entire 12 weeks.

I can assure you all that your support and friendship made all the difference on  my journey and I am eternally grateful for you and for the cure.
The SVR glow has not worn off yet and maybe never will.
This whole experience changed me for the better.
Thank you!

Your words are so great, Sapphire! For me too everyone's support and friendship here have been so vital for me on this journey. Like many of us, I lived in TOTAL secrecy prior to treatment and throughout treatment and even post-treatment until just 3 weeks ago. But thanks to this awesome community on the forums I was never alone. :)

Congratulations @sapphire101  :)
I'm right behind ya...it's been 363 days since my 1st "Harvey"
Personally, I still find it kinda surreal. I was bummed when I was still "detected" at 8 weeks; when they called after the 6 month test and said I was UD there was honestly a part of me that was skeptical or half expecting it(DasBug) to do a Lazurus move.
I guess it's real though :-). I recently changed my GI/Hep Doc and he ordered a ton of tests one of which was a VL. I am still UD but it's also interesting to look at my blood work across the board and there are significant improvements.

I too was and am grateful to all of those who have taken the time to post here. This forum kept me going.

GratZ and thanks to all

Happy anniversary Sapphire and Ledoc. Thanks for being spyboys (and girls) for us. I tarted treatment in March 2015 so it's getting close for me too!

Couldn't have done it with as much grace and sanity if not for the people here.

Kudos to the one year club!  Significant improvement across the board?!?!  Yes!!!  Thank you trailblazers!

Grace and sanity, Philly?  I wish I'd thought of that.  I went the "wailing and gnashing of teeth" route.   ;)

Thanks everyone for all the responses!
You have inspired me to clean up my signature and include "Class of 2015".

Shout out to all the brave clinical trials pioneers who blazed the trail for the rest of us. We would not have had access to these miracle drugs without them.
